Dream for every organization is to Sell Easier, Sell Faster & Sell More. The challenge they face to make the dream a reality is the approach towards sales by its sales team. Most of the Sales people go by the dictionary meaning that if I am in Sales, it means my job is to sell at any cost and meet my targets. Not meeting the targets means Not staying in the job for long. For the Sales to grow, the way we approach sales needs to change. The workshop will help the teams to unlearn and learn what goes into increased sales month after month year after year. It will help them understand the real meaning of sales and what it takes to increase closing 10X resulting in higher sales. Starting from getting the right mindset to building a prospect list to making the right pitch to handling objections to closing and finally follow ups will be taught at the Sales training and workshops. The attendees will also learn how to retain the customers, get higher wallet size and expand the network through references. In short, the Hard Things about Sales will be made Easy resulting in Sell Easier, Sell Faster and Sell More.
An entrepreneur or business owner has hundreds of things to worry about including sales. Either they do sales themselves or have a sales team. They are quasi heads of sales. They have so many things to worry about that they are not being able to devote the desired time that is required to build sales. As a sales coach and consultant, I work with all such entrepreneurs and business owners and help them in creating a culture of sales and guide the sales team. This ensures that the right amount of time and attention is given to such an important function. More importantly being an outsider and a neutral person, I will be able to look deep and find out what all is required to get sales growth consistently without increasing or hiring a head of sales or a larger team. I will study the business, the current way of working, target segment, approach to sales and customer acquisition, quality of sales and after sales service. If required I will also go for Joint Field Work (JFW) and demonstrate to the team the entire approach from pitching to closing. This will enable the entrepreneur and the business owner to focus on their core of getting their business robust, new ideas, new markets and building the organization.
We all can do with a dose of motivation at regular intervals. Life at the workplace is always pulling you from all sides – be it Family, Organization, Supervisors, Clients, Timelines, Targets – everyone wants a piece of you resulting in disturbing your peace. I learnt very early that Life without Dreams & goals is like playing a football match without a goal post. During my working years, one common point that most of the colleagues across departments used to discuss was – If the organization grows, we will only get the basic increments and incentives. It is the senior management that will take home all the money. This always resulted in people not giving more to their work and efforts. I remember always highlighting to my team about only if they excel and achieve their professional goals that they have a chance to make personal dreams & goals a reality. The session on Dreams and Goals is all about making your people realize the following – @It is important to have dreams and goals both professionally and personally. @Without achieving professional goals, you can never fulfil your personal dreams. @One needs to give more than 100% at work to achieve what one wants to achieve. @Important to have the belief, mindset and capacity to deal with challenges and failures to make dreams a reality. An organization is as good as the team that it has. A captain also is as good as his/her team. Do you feel that your organization has a strong team culture? Yes, every person has to deliver what is expected from them but to become market leaders and fight tough competition, one needs a team and not individual stars. Like in cricket, stars could win you a few matches but definitely not the championship. The 1983 winning world cup team of Indian cricket had average abilities for the matches as compared to other teams but they had one very strong tool – They played as a team and hence could achieve the impossible. Traditionally at work place we use more data and less of stories resulting in poor retention of the information shared. Stories help people connect, relate and retain thereby creating a positive impact on the people. The moment you deliver data using story form, the chances of the team retaining the information increases manifold. Similarly in Sales pure talks or lots of data or statements like – this product is very good and absolute value for money will not help you seal the deal with the customer. However the moment you incorporate stories in your conversation and information, you would increase the chances of closing the deal manifold. Stories are as old as human civilization. Our ability to construct and tell a story decides the quality of connection we develop with the other person. Storytelling has always been relevant in personal conversations but now even at work place, you cannot do without incorporating stories in your talks and presentations. Whether you are presenting to your team or to a set of investors or to a customer, your ability to converse in story format will set you apart from the commoners. Ask yourself – how often you say… oh wow that was so wonderfully explained or there are some who make it compelling for you to buy the products and services they are proposing. The reason is that someone is a better storyteller.
